Bracken

Bracken

The Beamtone sequencer, rebuilt and expanded in Max for Live.

Four independent step sequencers, turning live MIDI input into intricate rhythmic patterns.

Deep timing control: swing, per-step nudge, and a custom gravity algorithm that pulls rhythms off the grid while keeping them repeatable.

A performance-focused state system: four snapshot slots, smooth morphing, dynamic pattern density.

Native Ableton Push integration, mapping the sequencer directly to the pad matrix (Push 3 required).

Bracken is a Max for Live device and requires Live Suite, or Live Standard with the Max for Live add-on. Compatible from Live 12.3 / Max 9.0.9 onwards. It will not work with Live 11 or Live 12 prior to 12.3.

Listen

Hear a few of the presets running through a range of different instruments.

Keep in mind that Bracken is a MIDI sequencer: it drives the notes, but none of the sounds you're hearing come from it!
